Jakob Kinde, Group Managing Director |
|
|
Mr Kinde has 25 years of investment banking experience. Prior to co-founding Libertas Capital in 2002, Jakob was a co-founder and CEO of EO plc, an online share distribution platform. Jakob began his career with Samuel Montagu in 1982, before joining Kleinwort Benson between 1987 and 1999, where he held several senior positions, latterly as Director and Head of the Nordic Corporate Finance Team. After Kleinwort, Jakob was Director and shareholder of New Media Investors and co-founder of New Media Spark plc (now Spark Ventures plc). He is a Member of the Securities Institute (MSI). Jakob obtained a BSc (Econ) from University College London and holds a Certified Diploma in Accountancy and Finance.

Frank Dullaghan, Chief Financial

Mr Dullaghan has over 20 years of experience in financial services. Prior to co-founding Libertas Capital in 2002, Frank worked at EO plc where he was the company's Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer. Frank began his career as a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, involving business reviews, profitability studies and project management, before joining Lehman Brothers International where he became Head of Compliance Europe. Frank graduated with a BA (Econ) from University College Dublin, holds an MA in Creative Writing and is also an FCMA.

Roger Barlow, a Chartered Accountant, joined Libertas Capital Group as Chief Financial Officer in July 2004. He had previously spent 25 years with KPMG and was a partner in the Manchester office from 1987 to 2000. Roger is also a Non Executive Director of Marsden Building Society. Roger obtained a B.A. in Economics from Durham University and is both an A.C.A. and an F.C.A.

Michael
Naylor began his career in the Lisbon office of SG Warburg and Bank Inter
of Spain, following which he joined the London executive services search
firm of Glenn Irvine International. In 1994 Michael moved to Bucher Rugman
and Partners (today Gunderson Bucher Rugman), a member of the Alliance
Partnership (API) Search Group. Subsequently he moved within API to become
a consultant partner at Dixon, Delves and Andrews (DDA) and was made
partner in 1997. At DDA Michael established the firm’s integrated energy
practice, relocating to the USA and opening the Houston office in 1998 and
Sao Paulo in 1999. In 2000 Michael co-founded and is now a Director of NMH
Search, a London based executive search firm, where he is the executive
search specialist within the renewable energy sector. .

Handel E. Evans |
|
|
Mr. Evans has more than 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical
industry and was the co-founder and former Executive Chairman of
Pharmaceutical Marketing Service Inc., Source Informatics Ltd. and Walsh
International Inc., companies providing marketing services to the
pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Evans was also a co-founder and Senior
Executive of IMS International Inc., the leading pharmaceutical information
supplier. Mr. Evans is a Director of Cambridge Laboratories Ltd. and is
Chairman of the British Urological Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Evans was
previously a Director of Smithkline Beecham Plc., Allergan and IMS
International Inc.

Trevor M. Jones, PH.D. |
|
|
From 1994 to 2004, Prof. Jones was the Director General of
the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). From 1987 to
1994, Prof. Jones was a main Board Director at Wellcome plc. Prof. Jones
received his bachelor of pharmacy degree and Ph.D. from the University
of London and is currently Vice
Chairman of Council at King’s College, London.
Prof. Jones has also gained an honorary doctorate from the University
of Athens as well as honorary
doctorates in science from the Universities of Strathclyde, Nottingham, Bath
and Bradford in the United
Kingdom. Furthermore, Prof. Jones was
recognized in the Queen's Honors List and holds the title of Commander of
the British Empire. Prof. Jones is also a
fellow of the Royal Society of
Chemistry, a fellow of The Royal
Pharmaceutical Society, and an honorary fellow of the Royal
College of Physicians and of its Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and an
honorary fellow of the British Pharmaceutical Society. Prof. Jones is
Chairman of the Board of ReNeuron Group plc and of B.A.C. BV and a board
member of Merlin Biosciences’ Funds I and II and NextPharma Technologies
Holdings Ltd. Prof. Jones is also a founder and board member of the
Geneva-based public-private partnership, Medicines for Malaria Venture and
the UK Stem Cell Foundation

Mark Wellesley-Wood |
|
|
Mark Wellesley-Wood has more than 20 years experience in the metals and mining sector. He is founder and Managing Director of WCS Limited, a consulting company focused on the mining and metals industry. Previously he was CEO of Redwing Mining, Chairman and CEO of DRDG Gold Limited and Director of various listed companies. He was previously Global Head of Metals & Mining at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

Iek van Cruyningen

|
Mr Van Cruyningen has 10 years experience in equity research. He started his career at Smith New Court, where he was a member of the number one rated Dutch equity research team, subsequently maintaining that performance following the company’s acquisition by Merrill Lynch. He then joined Enskilda Securities as one of a team of three to establish a pan-European thematic/ideas driven research product, after which he joined HSBC as part of the global software research team. Iek also has industry experience, having worked in the technology sector with the US software vendor Oracle Corporation. He joined Libertas Capital in January 2004 to help establish the securities and operations. Iek holds an MSc in Econometrics and International Finance and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Surrey.

Mr Quraishi has over 10 years of investment banking experience having joined the corporate finance and advisory division of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in 1996. At DK, he advised on a number of international M&A and capital markets transactions such as the IPO of Orange, Lafarge takeover of Blue Circle and the AIM admission and placing of Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited. He left DK to join Libertas Capital’s Corporate Finance division in 2003 where he was responsible for developing the capital markets practice. Aamir started his career at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1995. He is a member of the ICAEW and the Securities Institute and is FSA registered as Corporate Finance and Investment Advisor. Aamir has an MA (Hons) in Economics from Cambridge University.

Mr Murray has over 20 years of experience as an investment banker and adviser. He was head of banking groups at BZW and Société Général, and Global Head of Media and Telecoms Investment Banking at Schroders, building and running a 45 person team of bankers and analysts across New York, London and Hong Kong. He spent four years as founder and ultimately CEO of Macadam, an international corporate finance advisory firm, and also spent two years as CEO of internet venture capital firm, Pilotbird. He began his career working for seven years with Strategic Planning Associates (now Oliver Wyman) as a strategy consultant, after training as a telecoms engineer with BT. He has served as a non-executive director of a number of emerging telecoms companies and was a member for five years on the investment committee of mid-market buyout fund, Platina Finance. He holds an MA (Hons) in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MBA (with distinction) from INSEAD.

Gareth Evans, Managing Director and Head of Libertas Capital Asia |

Mr Evans has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry. In April 1999, Gareth Evans founded Equity Growth Research, which was acquired by Libertas Capital at the beginning of 2004 and is now part of Libertas Capital Securities. Prior to this, Gareth had worked at UBS Securities to establish a management function for the equity division. Having started his career as an equity salesman for Kleinwort Benson Securities marketing pan-European securities to Japanese institutional investors, Gareth was then recruited by Lehman Brothers to establish a Japanese client base, after which he transferred to equity management. Gareth obtained a BA (Hons) in Political Science from George Washington University.
